How to deal with barricades?
Barricades are basicly planks that are put in front of windows and dooropenings. They are mostly used by survivors who try to hold out in a room.
Kick and retreat, kick and retreat
Important to know is that these barricades don’t hold out forever. Bashing them a numerous of times will eventually destroy them. If the survivors shoot at you when you try to destroy the barricade, just take cover and let your health regenerate. This way, the survivors will slowly run out of ammo, the barricade will go down and the zombies keep their lives. Eventually you will be able to take down the survivors. Keep in mind that it’s better to rush them with a big group than to go in one by one.
Instant destroying
Important to know is that when you jump on top of a barricade it will be instantly destroyed. So figure out first if the survivor didn’t make the mistake of putting it too low. If he has, jump on it and rush right through. Also, never just crouch underneath a barricade. In this position you are rather vulnerable, you’ll be headshotted more easily.
Other barricades
Beside the plank barricades, you also have barricades that were made by pusing objects in front of a door or window opening. Most of the time, you’ll see humans make use of big, green barricades, couches, chairs or other small objects.
Most of these barricades can be destroyed rather easily. But once again, it is important to retreat when you get shot at. Never let them kill you!
You can destroy these barricades by pushing them. Make use of right mouse button, or shift + right mouse button to push or Überpush. This way, you can push over the objects and create an opening.
